The 7th Annual Global Awards will be held on October 25th at a new venue at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC.

Women and Drones Founder and CEO Sharon Rothmark said: “We believe this once-in-a-lifetime celebratory occasion will help us take an important step in positioning the future of aviation as an inclusive and dynamic industry.”

The Women in Emerging Aviation Technologies Award recognizes outstanding women and companies or organizations in multiple categories. The Women to Watch Awards recognize those who are driving change and leading the way towards greater participation of women in the unmanned aviation industry. The Hall of Fame Awards recognize experienced and proven businesswomen in career areas that enable relevant emerging aviation technologies and industries. The Company Innovation and Spotlight on Drones for Good Awards are designed to recognize companies, agencies or organizations with inclusive cultures where women hold key leadership positions.

Candidates must be employed in the UAS/AAM industry or have a significant impact on the industry through leadership, research, education, or advocacy. The deadline for nominations is June 16, 2023.To recommend a worthy woman or company visit Women in Emerging Aviation Technology Award.

2023 Honorary Co-President

Marilyn Pearson and Miriam McNab, 2022 Women’s Emerging Aviation Technologies Hall of Fame inductees, will serve as Honorary Co-Chairs of the 2023 Awards.

Marilyn Pearson is a former FAA Aviation Safety Inspector and recipient of the 2002 EEO Distinguished FAA Administrator Award. Ms. Pearson is currently CAE’s Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist. In her 40+ year career in the aviation industry, Ms. Pearson has served as a corporate and commercial pilot in several types of jets and is certified as an instructor in many types of aircraft.

“Receiving the Women in Emerging Aviation Technology Hall of Fame Award is truly an honor, especially since it comes from people in the aviation and aerospace industry who have been my role models and inspirations,” said Marilyn Pearson. say. “The amazing group of women who shared this award with me inspires me to make the seemingly impossible possible. I’ve met so many amazing women and can’t wait to see what they come up with.”

Miriam McNab is a partner and editor of DRONELIFE.com, an online news source focused on the commercial drone industry founded in 2013. She is a frequent international speaker at drone industry events and she writes for DRONELIFE on current news, financial trends and FAA regulations. .
