Teal Drone Secures Additional $1.2 Million in Funding for U.S. Army’s SSR Program

In March 2022, Thiel won its first SRR Tranche 2 program prototype contract, and the Army is now owed a total of $2.7 million for Thiel’s participation. The company is one of only three of his vendors to participate in Tranche 2, the final tranche of the SRR program.
After a series of testing and demonstration milestones, the winning vendor was selected to deliver a rucksack-portable drone capable of providing rapidly deployable surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities for platoons of 20-50 soldiers. will be developed.
