Australian drone manufacturer Carbonics and drone data management platform providers aerial photograph Completed first commercial flight over Michigan. Missions take place every two weeks with his ongoing campaign aimed at extracting insights through advanced drone capabilities and advanced AI data processing.
Initial missions are part of a larger aerial remote sensing project. Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD). The MDARD project will benefit Michigan farmers by providing advanced data to promote sustainability, improve water and nutrient management, and advance yield prediction.
Missions take place every two weeks and are also the first missions in partnership with New Hampshire-based Carbonix. Argentec solution.
ArgenTech will pilot the mission using Volanti, an all-electric fixed-wing UAV from Carbonix. The collected data is delivered to Accelerate, Aerial Vantage’s drone data management platform. Accelerate is an AI and machine learning powered processing and analytics platform that combines drone and satellite imagery and other data to predict crop yield, quality and price for commodity markets.
The combination of advanced drone capabilities, such as BVLOS remote control, and advanced AI technology will drive cost efficiencies in the data acquisition and processing value chain, significantly reducing management costs and yield per acre.
Carbonix CEO Philip van der Berg He said the mission was a milestone for the company.
“Michigan is one of the largest states in the U.S., and with its large area coverage, we can take full advantage of our visual-to-blind capabilities. As for the project, it will drive significant operational efficiencies and cost savings,” he said.
“Being able to participate in these real-world missions is an opportunity that lies ahead as drone capabilities continue to advance, revolutionize industries, redefine aviation operations, and empower businesses around the world. Together, we will pioneer the future of autonomous flight, drive innovation, and shape a world where drones are the catalyst for progress.”
Aerial Vantage CEO Michael Daly “We are thrilled to be a part of this groundbreaking effort. The successful completion of these missions is just the beginning of an ambitious and highly scalable campaign. By harnessing the power of AI technology, we are revolutionizing the way air operations are conducted.
“Our partnership with Carbonix is not only about pushing the boundaries of long-range unmanned flight, but also creating real-world solutions for a variety of industries. We are at the forefront of improving agricultural technology, promoting sustainability and improving yield predictability.”
