The platform wirelessly transfers flight data, images and videos while automatically charging the drone without a physical connection point.
“PowerPad Pro enhances drone capabilities for partners working in environments where autonomous or semi-autonomous operation is a priority. We designed it as a flexible solution for those equipped or looking for a more cost-effective option for fully autonomous operation. The PowerPad Pro can be used as a standalone landing platform can be integrated into any number of enclosures and form factors such as trailers, warehouses and even truck beds.”
PowerPad Pro automatically initiates wireless battery charging as soon as the UAV lands, eliminating the need for cables and connectors and providing a common landing pad platform for various sizes and types of UAVs. The platform delivers power via air and is completely sealed against the elements. In addition, tts programmable voltage and current help extend battery life.
While charging, the PowerPad Pro’s wireless data transfer allows the UAV to download flight and sensor data to an industrial computer located in the pad for processing or automatically transmit to a central location. Through the same wireless data link, remote operators can upload flight plans and monitor flights in real time.
These benefits will improve drone operations in a variety of industries, including energy and utilities, construction, defense, and agriculture.
Wibotic announced blue halo As the first partner of PowerPad Pro. BlueHalo Intense Eye V2 (IE-V2) and E900 models are now available with WiBotic’s PowerPad Pro, which supports both charging and data offload.
Mary Clum, Sector President and Corporate Executive Vice President, BlueHalo, said: “There is a growing demand for permanently deployed and remotely operated UAVs. It has enabled us to deliver new solutions and better support critical customer missions.”
Another of PowerPad Pro’s first partners is Valmont IndustriesAngi Chamberlain, Vice President of UAS Technology Solutions at Valmont, said: “The PowerPad Pro is the first to offer a charging platform that works with any of the wide variety of UAVs we use. inspection can be performed immediately at the location of
PowerPad Pro will be on display at the following venues: AUVSI Exponential May 8-11, 2023, Denver, Colorado.
