Meet photogrammetric accuracy standards
Accuracy standards are very important to promote the consistency, reliability and quality of the geospatial data we provide. However, sometimes standards need to be updated.
In photogrammetry, new standards of accuracy have been set by improvements in the hardware and software used to acquire, capture, and process data in both surveying and cartography. Bill Johnson, Certified Photogrammer and Certified Map Scientist, DAS Geospatial, and Eric Andelin, Certified Photogrammer and Senior Workflow Specialist, SimActive, have joined us to ensure that these changes will impact the mapping business and the outcomes we create. Discuss how it affects objects (DEMs, orthomosaics). Professionals can continue to meet as standards change.
Specifically, participants will learn:
- What are Accuracy Criteria?
- How are widely accepted standards such as ASPRS defined?
- How will new technology affect accuracy standards?
- How are mapping artifacts validated against standards?
