Wonder Robotics’ technology enables DroneUp to proceed with its operations while ensuring safety.
In an initial evaluation, the DroneUp drone ran Wonder Robotics’ ‘WonderLand’ solution, enabling smart, high-precision autonomous landing, precise winch delivery, and advanced contingency planning. WonderLand also allows one flight engineer to safely and autonomously monitor multiple drone deliveries simultaneously, helping DroneUp scale its business.
“Our technology is a BVLOS scale operations enabler for scalable drone services that allows service providers and mission managers to safely operate multiple drones per site,” said Idan, CEO of Wonder Robotics. Simon said. “Wonder Robotics’ goal is to provide reliable technology that makes drone services safe and economical, and to support future regulatory rules for scalable and safe drone delivery.”
WonderLand features vertical awareness (vertical detection and avoidance) and robust and precise landing, enabling large-scale BVLOS drone operations. Obstacle avoidance systems allow drones to maneuver around obstacles such as trees, buildings and cables, ensuring fast and safe deliveries.
“Our commitment to safe operations is our number one priority, and exploring cutting-edge technology like Wonderland is critical to maintaining that focus,” said John Vernon, DroneUp CTO. said. “Bringing it into our tech stack will not only improve individual deliveries, but will also give us a clearer path to grow our business as drone deliveries become more popular each year.”
DroneUp plans to validate Wonder Robotics’ technology at additional locations through further operational flight tests. Previously, WonderLand awarded Wonder Robotics the “Pitch the Press” award at last year’s Commercial UAV Expo 2022.
