Leader in UTM (Unified Traffic Management) Technology Altitude Angel announced the release of an updated version of its Drone Assist flight planning tool. This update offers a series of new features, including enhanced integrated flight plans, advanced flight plan drawing tools, and an approval service via the app.
Drone Assist features a direct connection to Altitude Angel’s UTM platform, providing ‘one-tap flight clearance’ at connected airports and facilities worldwide. The leading flight planning app for both professional and recreational drone pilots, his latest Drone Assist lays the groundwork on which the UK can build his £40bn drone economy. Over the next few months, the company’s existing apps will be phased out and new updates will be adopted to serve as gateways to various U-Space services provided by Altitude Angel and operated by customers.
Altitude Angel CEO and Founder Richard Parker said, “All commercial drone operations must start with a plan, and planning must start with Drone Assist. That’s why we’re making drone flights truly safe anywhere.” We’ve invested heavily in creating an app that works.”
The new Drone Assist was developed in collaboration with the drone community, with over 400 active contributors participating in our beta testing program whose feedback was used to design and build the app. Drone Assist allows the user to plan a flight and send that plan to the app, where the user has requested to unlock and prioritize the enhanced flight planning features, all on Altitude Angel’s UTM platform. Now you can share.
Drone Assist also features a new “pilot profile” and aircraft management, allowing users to record drone operator profiles, flight times, and aircraft usage time. Other upgrades and new features include new map layers with satellite views, enhanced airspace filter controls, and an updated user experience and user interface. The new version of Drone Assist will be released on Monday, May 22nd for both iOS and Android.
“We are seeing pilots and operators love Drone Assist as the number of users continues to grow each year. , we know what needs to be done to make the Drone Assist really what we and its users want, so after a lot of design, development and beta testing, we are happy to release this updated version. We are thrilled and proud to do so,” said Parker. “With the arrival of the new Drone Assist, we now have a platform where drone operators can build businesses, realize the potential of drones, and build industries that change the world. It’s just the first in a series of new feature releases that will continue to provide new services and opportunities for users, administrators and landowners.”
