Sony Electronics announces new SDK version, taking remote shooting and camera integration to the next level. More drones equipped with Sony cameras?
Sony is a world leader in cameras, and drones equipped with Sony cameras have advantages for engineering and industrial applications. Sony’s Airpeak hit the market last year. Now, Sony’s latest SDK version makes it even easier to integrate drones with Sony products.
The company has steadily improved its integration capabilities for drones and other platforms. Version 1.06 of the SDK added his GPS synchronization feature for drones and more. With the newly released version 1.08, “new features broaden the range of potential applications and expand the supported models,” the announcement said.
“With each SDK release, we integrate what we learn from our customers, expanding the capabilities and scale of our applications and features. Industrial and B2B applications, from photogrammetry and medical companies to inspections and e-commerce. We look forward to our professional clients exploring the new capabilities.”
“With the release of this SDK, software developers can design bespoke applications customized to their business requirements, including size-critical drones and speed camera systems, as well as other medical, educational, government, and e-commerce applications. It can integrate Sony equipment for smartphones, ”said the announcement. “This SDK is still available for free.
