Over the past few years, Zipline has developed P2 to deliver the best customer experience at scale. Zipline’s drones (Zips) fly more than 300 feet above the ground and are nearly inaudible. Once Zip reaches its destination, a fully autonomous delivery droid operates a tether to unload the package gently and precisely.
Various healthcare and restaurant businesses have signed contracts to use Zipline’s new platform. Sweetgreen has partnered with his Zipline to allow customers to receive their orders with him 97% less energy than traditional automotive methods.
Sweetgreen CEO and Co-Founder Jonathan Niemann said: “He is very much looking forward to working with Zipline to complement our shipping strategy. Zipline’s sustainable technology and ability to reach customers quickly with a superior shipping experience will help them reach their customers when they want. And it helps us give our customers what they want.”
Michigan Medicine will use this service to more than double the number of prescriptions placed annually through its in-house pharmacy. Intermountain Health will use this service to deliver prescriptions to patients’ homes in the Salt Lake City metropolitan area. MultiCare Health System plans to use the service to expedite diagnosis and deliver prescriptions and medical devices through its network of facilities.
“With Zipline, we are able to make deliveries faster than ever before, saving time for both patients and healthcare workers, making pharmacy care faster and more affordable, and helping our patients It can improve outcomes,” said Marschall S. Runge, MD, Ph. D., CEO of Michigan Medicine, Dean of UM Medical School and Executive Vice President of Medical Affairs at the University of Michigan. “We are always looking for innovative and sustainable improvements to serve our patients. “
Additionally, the Rwandan government will use the service to enable urban last-mile deliveries to homes, hotels and medical facilities in Kigali and elsewhere in the country.
Rwandan President Paul Kagame said: “Ziplining and Rwanda are examples of tipping points in economic prosperity that change people’s lives for the better.
Zipline’s end-to-end solution integrates with your business’s current operations, including dual-use docking and charging hardware, and can be mounted in any building or set up as a freestanding structure. Employees can easily load Zips and submit orders from their location in seconds. Customers can order on demand or schedule an exact arrival time for their packages.
