Open source operating system developer Outerion Released new and improved versions The Auterion Operating System (OS) and Auterion Mission Control (AMC) integration simplifies and improves the user experience for performing Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) operations.
Auterion’s New Drone OS: A More Seamless Experience
The integration of Auterion’s platform components, the precise trajectory pattern and payload command triggers enabled by the AMC, and the software-managed payload behavior onboard greatly facilitates operation within an enhanced dynamic environment. .
“Our team works hard to provide operators with a seamless experience on missions by integrating and simplifying every aspect of drone hardware and software,” said Auterion’s Deputy of Engineering. President Markus Achtelik said. “We strive for autonomy so that users feel empowered and safe.”
This new release enables full integration with NextVision cameras including: next vision raptor, a lightweight, long-range dual EO-IR stabilized camera turret with significant range increase and zoom. The integrated camera and gimbal features an electro-optical sensor with 80x zoom and infrared capabilities for better situational awareness.
Operators must perform a number of actions to get the most out of their ISR missions. This update allows the software to perform these actions autonomously, readjusting the trajectory to keep the target in view, and freeing the operator to focus on payload adjustments.
This new version of Auterion Mission Control (AMC) offers an improved user experience with an enhanced interface and a more streamlined mission planning experience. The ease of use of the platform makes it easier for new operators to learn, and improved commands make managing flight and operations more accessible and intuitive.
