Red Cat Holdings CEO Visits NATO Member States to Discuss Military Drone Support for Ukraine

Jeff Thompson, CEO of a military technology company Red Cat Holdingsas part of a delegation visiting NATO countries this week, will discuss military drone support for the Ukrainian army.

Subsidiary of Red Cat teal droneA new military drone, the Teal 2, will be displayed to NATO leaders by Thompson. Scheduled for a Q2 2023 launch and now available to first adopter customers, Teal 2 is designed to be the world’s leading drone solution for night operations.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the Ukrainian military “does not have enough drones to spot targets and guide artillery, especially night-vision cameras when Russian forces are trying to sneak up on them.” There’s a shortage of more expensive models with that.”
“In Ukraine and elsewhere, most military operations take place at night, and Teal 2 gives combatants exactly the solution they need,” said Thompson. “Teal 2 is the first drone to integrate his camera, the world’s best new night drone, the next generation of thermal imaging technology. So far, Red Cat has fulfilled an order for 54 units of Teal 2 from US Customs and Border Protection. It is deployed to provide supplemental aerial reconnaissance, surveillance, and tracking capabilities for enhanced situational awareness.
Red Cat has also previously fulfilled orders from NATO member states for 15 units of Teal’s Golden Eagle drones for deployment to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“Red Cat wants to do everything it can to ensure that Ukrainian fighters have the best and latest American technology that can rule the night. We will meet with the decision makers,” Thompson said.
Teal is part of the Blue UAS Clear List, which designates manufacturers authorized to supply equipment to the U.S. military. The company is also one of his three drone makers invited to participate. US Army short-range reconnaissance tranche 2 (SRR T2)a program to develop portable small unmanned aerial systems for use by Army platoons in surveillance and reconnaissance operations.
