UAE Strategic Development Fund invests $3 million in Mayman Aerospace

It’s been a whileinvestment arm of Strategic Development Fundhas invested $3 million in Maiman Aerospace Through venture capital programs.

a Jetpack Aviation Corporation Mayman Aerospace is a US-based manufacturer of Speeder Air Utility Vehicles (AUVs). SDF recognizes his Speeder’s status as a unique new class of high-performance VTOL aircraft as part of its strategy to invest in dual-use technology applicable to the defense and civilian sectors.
The Speeder offers a breakthrough combination of portability, speed, payload and range performance thanks to the vectored thrust of its gimbal turbine engine. The high performance of aircraft is made possible by the energy density of jet fuel, like sustainable aviation fuel. Funds will be allocated to advance the Speeder flight test program and advance the vehicle certification process.
“Meiman Aerospace recognizes that it has demonstrated unique capabilities in this highly complex engineering effort. ,” said Mohamed Moussaba Al Masroui, Director of Investments and Portfolio Management. “Speeder’s optimization of the existing propulsion control system, which can be adapted to future technologies, combined with its flexible operational capabilities, has influenced our investment decisions.”
