Smart Airspace Security Leader Dedrone announced a partnership with G4S, an Allied Universal® company. This partnership covers Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). At these locations, G4S will provide Dedrone’s command and control (C2) drone detection, tracking and identification (DTI) solution suite to his customers in over 50 countries.
“Our partnership with Dedrone allows us to add another layer to our risk-based assessment approach to assess customer-specific threat levels in perimeter and airspace protection,” said G4S Regional Director of Technical Solutions Development. Erik Deleersnyder says. “His Dedrone’s ability to easily integrate with third-party products also means that customers can quickly incorporate Counter Unmanned Aerial System (cUAS) capabilities into their existing security infrastructure.”
One of the first clients to benefit from this new partnership is the Latvian State Police. Dedrone used to establish a mobile her drone detection system for a large event in Riga.
“This detection device will be an important addition to the Latvian State Police’s ability to effectively control unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) traffic. Initial tests with the Dedrone have proven to be of high quality. It will undoubtedly improve our ability to strengthen national security in Latvia,” said Maris Witkovsky, Latvian State Police Representative for Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and Air Navigation. said to “These devices allow us to determine heights, routes and, most importantly, the location of remote pilots of drones, which is essential for detecting potential law violations. We use Dedrone to ensure public safety, including during public events, to prevent violations, including potential ones.”
With 6,000 registered drone pilots and many more unlicensed pilots in Latvia, there is a balance between providing protection against the risks of unlicensed drones and giving registered users the freedom to operate safely and responsibly. must be balanced with
“Latvia faces real challenges with drones due to risks in congested areas and critical national infrastructure where the number of drones produced and sold each year is increasing.
What we needed was a flexible system to detect drones that could be deployed in a variety of situations to provide an important layer of security. Dedrone offers that flexibility without sacrificing security,” said Aleksandrs Šnevels, Head of Technology at his G4S in Latvia.
Dedrone Tracker, Dedrone’s C2 cUAS platform, was developed on an Open Systems Architecture (OSA) to enable seamless integration with third-party inputs, including sensors and cameras that may already be in place. Dedrone Tracker uses the DTI protocol and artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) engine to continuously and autonomously determine drone threats. The company also recently released his DedroneDefender, which uses precision radio frequency (RF) jamming to subdue drones.
“Entering this partnership with one of the world’s leading security solution providers is a logical next step for Dedrone. We are pleased to provide you with the ability to ensure that threats are avoided. Drone intrusions can be dealt with effectively and quickly,” said Dedrone EMEA VP Jan Schween. “We are ready to rapidly integrate his best-in-class cUAS solution for effective airspace protection, regardless of site size or current security setup.”
