Volocopter Raises $182 Million in Second Series E Funding Round Signed

With its UAM ecosystem, Volocopter offers fully electric solutions purpose-built for urban missions, transporting goods and passengers in multi-purpose electric aircraft (VoloCity, VoloRegion, VoloDrone), and the necessary physical and digital infrastructure (VoloPort and VoloIQ). .
Volocopter CEO Dirk Hoke said: “This is a key requirement to start commercial operations and start generating revenue.”
Volocopter is the first and only electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) company to receive Design Authority Approval (DOA) from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). The company’s first commercial air taxi routes will be launched within the next two years, including in Singapore, Rome, Paris and the NEOM region.

Volocopter and NEOM signed a joint venture last December to integrate VoloCity air taxis and VoloDrone into NEOM’s mobility system. The joint venture will manage the region’s all-electric public flight routes for his first seven years from launch.
