Skyportz closes funding as Australia releases over $18 million in AAM grants

Australia’s Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government issued yesterday $18 million in grants As part of the first round of New and Emerging Aviation Technology Partnerships.

The move underscores strong policy support for Australia’s advanced air mobility at the federal government level, and the recent Roadmap Aviation regulator CASA has announced the development of the Australian drone and air taxi market.

skyportsAustralia’s only vertyport infrastructure company has spent four years working to highlight the importance of developing advanced air mobility policies at all government levels, with a focus on essential vertyport infrastructure I made it.
Skyportz CEO Clem Newton-Brown said:
Skyportz has over 400 candidate properties owned by real estate partners looking to enter this emerging industry. The company plans to close his second seed fundraiser for the development of the first prototype vertiport on November 10th. With over 180 new investors, the total number of shareholders is brought to his over 600 investors.
“The key to this industry is breaking the ties between aviation and existing airports,” said Newton-Brown. “For the industry to reach its potential, a network of new Birchport sites will need to be developed, and Skyportz is preparing the landscape to partner with infrastructure investors.”
