Enterprise Drone Autonomous Platform Provider FlytBase Announced partnership with leader in safety avionics technology iris automation It integrates FlytBase’s FlytNow and Iris Automation’s Casia G ground detection and warning system to enable safe BVLOS flight.

The Casia G ground surveillance system continuously monitors the airspace to ensure the safety of UAS operations from intruders. Using Iris’ AI and computer vision technology, its sensors provide a complete optical 360° field of view for locating aircraft within a 2 km radius. As a ground-based solution, Casia G does not require additional payloads to reduce the weight of the drone. Additional units can be used to extend the monitoring coverage of the solution to form a network of detection nodes and meshes.

FlytNow is a cloud-based software platform that enables drone operators to perform autonomous BVLOS operations using drone-in-a-box systems from remote command centers. When new integration, the FlytNow dashboard can display real-time Casia G system data, including intruding aircraft type and location, and live telemetry. Remote drone operators can view sensor location, status and radius and receive real-time alerts when unauthorized aircraft are detected.

In addition to integration with Casia G, FlytNow also offers a range of safety features that enable safe flight operations. In the event of an emergency, multiple fail-safe events and associated actions can be configured to automatically return the drone to its docking station when triggered. Remote operators can also upload and create no fly zones to prevent drones from entering restricted or prohibited airspace.

FlytBase founder and CEO Nitin Gupta said: “As we continue to add safety features to FlytNow, collaboration between complementary technology providers will become increasingly important. Casia G’s ground-based detection and avoidance system will enable his BVLOS flights risk-free.” It fills an important gap.”

John Damush, CEO of Iris Automation, said: “By integrating the Iris Casia G system into the FlytNow platform, we are demonstrating complete visualization of the airspace, including both cooperating and non-cooperating aircraft. , opening the door to efficient BVLOS operations, an important step in supporting operational scale and economic returns.”
